I started my business right smack on the Australian poverty line juggling a part time job that sucked the creative juice from my bones, a brand new baby and husband after 6 years of single parenting, a disability, zero dollars and a borrowed laptop. It’s been 7 years from that first day I hesitatingly registered a business number and name and got going, with a 5 year plan to perhaps, maybe, if I was lucky, prove every warning I’d ever heard during my childhood wrong and make money writing words. Now, I employ a small team of subcontractors that identify as women, pay them ridiculously well, pay as much tax per quarter as my children and I used to live on when I was beholden to welfare, and am one of the highest paid copywriters in Australia. More importantly, I teach women to use words to do the same thing to transform their lives - whether they want to be copywriters when they grow up or just write copy that sells for their own service and product based businesses. 

You should also know I live life right on the cusp of extrovert and introvert. I’m 51% introverted, according to all the fancy online personality tests. I am INFP T (Oh, how I’ve grappled with that turbulent label!) and although you may think this doesn’t qualify me to talk to the truly introverted about business and branding and getting out of your own darn way, I honestly believe this constant push and pull between the two polar opposites of my inner Jay makes me perfectly positioned to teach you how to use the inherent skills from both sides of the coin to your advantage.
